We know all about travelling by air for those quick projects on a vessel of opportunity, so we have learnt to pack our NORBIT systems in such a way that it meets the airlines strict luggage restrictions.  The complete system including the velocity profiler, RTK radio modem if requested and a universal s/steel bolt on adapter weighs 42kg.  We have split this between two hard cases.  Both with wheels and handles for ease of handling. Everything you need for your bathy survey is included. 

 

Then depending on your scope of work and accuracy requirements, the only other gear you may need is an additional case for the RTK GNSS base station if you so choose.  Alternatively travel light and use satellite-based Marinestar corrections or if your location allows, NTRIP corrections.
